“The history of the underdevelopment of Latin America makes up the history of the development of world capitalism.  Our defeat was always implicit in another’s victory; our wealth has always generated our poverty, in order to feed the prosperity of others.”

(Eduardo Galeano, “Open Veins of Latin America”)

Guatemala’s highlands are a place of great beauty, natural wealth and spirituality.  This film seeks to understand the effects of mining on this region, and to understand the relationship between North American corporations, their stakeholders, the governments of Guatemala and the US and Canada, and citizens of all three nations.

G Project is a Minnesota nonprofit corporation formed in 2009 to produce the film.  Please click through to learn more about G Project, and how you can make a 100% tax-deductible donation to support this important project.
