We just completed 2 fantastic interviews with James Anaya (UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples) and Nick Cullather (Former member of the CIA who authored the book “Secret History: The CIA’s Classified Account of Its Operations in Guatemala, 1952-1954“).

G Project completed an illuminating 8 day production trip to San Miguel Ixtahuacan and other gold mine-affected communities in April, 2011.  We heard personal stories from community members of both hope and sorrow.  Thank you to the people of San Miguel for welcoming us into your community.

G Project Nonprofit has received word from the IRS that the application for 501(c)(3) status has been officially approved. G Project is now a tax-exempt public charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible!

Mayflower Church and the Mayflower Foundation are set to send an educational delegation to Guatemala in July, 2010. Several G Project board members will join the delegation.

G Project’s production trip to Toronto was a major success. G Project crew members attended meetings with shareholders, activist groups, community groups, unions, environmental law groups, and representatives from York University’s Osgoode Law School.
